Eron Rauch is a wanderer in the shadowy borderlands between the traditional fine art world and the media-saturated periphery of America. Starting off deep in the Midwest as an admittedly-terrible experimental musician, DIY zine maker, and conflicted fan of all things geeky, his ambivalent and occasionally troubling experiences with subculture and suburbia continue to inform Eron’s art.

Each of his in-depth projects takes up a specific topic or theme for exploration and grows over many years. These projects can contain a wide spectrum of media, including, photography, collage, maps, drawing, installation, video, books, research, and essays. Working toward a richer relationship between art and day-to-day life, his projects often utilize non-traditional visual arts venues.

Fusing autobiography and the broad sweep of cultural history, Eron's projects reveal hidden connections and create new contexts for the ways we interact with our daily landscapes, both physical and digital.

Currently based in Los Angeles, he received his M.F.A. in Photography and Media from the California Institute of the Arts and his B.F.A. from Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Amongst showing at galleries and curating art projects, Eron is a regular essayist on the intersection of art and video games for the websites ZAM in America and Video Game Tourism in Austria. His love for music continues as Creative Director for Orenda Records, Daniel Rosenboom's genre-defying label. He is still, on occasion, a terrible DJ.

"We never look at just one thing; we are always looking at the relation between things and ourselves."
- John Berger
